TSMC: AI powered chilled water control system will be introduced to all 12-inch wafers next year

The Business Times TaiWan reported on November 30, TSMC said in the latest ESG electronic report that the company optimized the energy-saving model of the ice water system by machine learning method, developed three major functions such as 'single energy consumption abnormal detection', introduced in January this year to the wafer 15A plant, a total of 2 million KWH of electricity saving by November, will be introduced in 2023 to all 12-inch plants. It is expected to save 100 million kilowatt hours of electricity a year.
